THE CHAPTERS OF Whoa WOMANHOOD

CHAPTER I – WmW Concept

Whoamentoring Works was conceptualized by Founder and Executive Director, Dr. Kymrae Mizell Hill.  The concept derives, firstly, from her innate passion for community outreach and youth empowerment, and later through her doctoral research findings, where she found that there is an imperative need for stronger mentoring and empowering programs for marginalized groups, such as at-risk youth and women specifically.

MISSION: To be the premier non-profit organization that provides mentoring initiatives, curriculum-based programs, and empowering events for children and adult women in marginalized communities to help them develop in every area of their lives.

CHAPTER II – WmW Logo
This leads us into the next chapter of “Our Whoawomen Story”
…Our logo.

Considering that Whoa Women are superheroes, our logo was inspired by the late brilliant inventor, William Marston’s original design of the Wonder Woman.  He believed Wonder Woman was a model of that era’s unconventional liberated woman.  The irony is Wonder Woman was created in the early 1940’s, but what she stood for, still stands strong today.

CHAPTER III – Signature Color

Seeking our self-actualization point (or highest potential) is aligned with our signature color, Turquoise, which we selected very pridefully and carefully.  We chose Turquoise as our leading color, because of its psychological and spiritual meanings.  Turquoise represents clarity, balance, and harmony, and inspires high-energy, self-expression, healing, and personal growth.  Some synonyms associated with the color: wholeness, wisdom, spiritual grounding, friendship, love, joy, patience, sophistication, and loyalty.

CHAPTER IV – Your Chapter

YOU are the author of your journey into highest potential.  Whether you are a monetary contributor, volunteer or mentor, participant, or promoter of our events, we are grateful for the impact that you are making by way of our programs and events.

Seeking our self-actualization point (or highest potential) is an imperative tenet to becoming a Whoa Woman.

Turquoise was selected very pridefully and carefully by way of its psychological and spiritual meanings.
